I’ve been holding out on all of you.  I’ve never posted this recipe here because I’ve been afraid you’d all take it and start making it and the recipe would flood the world and would take away my status for “best fall dessert-maker-ever”.  That’s a title I’ve given myself because these are so good by the way.  Well…I’m turning over a new leaf.  It’s fall after all and there’s a lot going on with leaves right now so it felt right.  It felt time.  It felt like the generous thing to do.  So with that…make this.  You and anyone you make it for will thank me later.  In advance…I’d like to say “you’re welcome”.  Seriously.  Your welcome.

Spice Bars

1 1/2 cup butter

1 1/2 cup sugar

1 1/2 cup brown sugar

4 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

2 tsp baking soda

4 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp cloves

2 tsp salt

4 cup flour

1 cup chocolate chips

Directions: Add all ingredients in a mixer (except chocolate chips) and mix until combined.  Add chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed.  Grease a large baking/cookie sheet well (sides included) and press dough evenly into sheet.  Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.  (Don’t over bake!).  Cut into bars and allow to cool.

ENJOY!
