STUDIO CLOSING CHECKLIST
TO ALL STAFF ASSIGNED TO CLOSE STUDIO
Please review the following information. If you are the last person scheduled in a studio room or area, you will be responsible to make sure that area is closed properly.
If you are the last one at the studio, and you notice any lights that are left on (other than the front studio office light), please turn lights off.
EVERY Instructor needs to clean up after their own class and make sure there is no trash, dancers belongings, chairs, tables, dance props, etc.. left behind for the next Instructor to take care of. PLEASE do your part to keep each studio room clean and show respect for each other and the studio. We highly encourage you to have your dancers assist in cleaning up their own messes and teach them to put things away after use. In addition, please talk to your dancers about taking care of the Dancer Lounge, hallways, and all areas/grounds of our Studio Building.
If you have any concerns or issues with any dancers damaging the studio OR your studio room is consistently being left unclean with trash, props, chairs, furniture not being put away, upon arriving, please make sure to talk to your program Director -OR- Kim or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. She will follow up with any staff that are struggling to follow the checklist.
We greatly appreciate each of you and want our studio to be a clean, welcoming place to be for everyone. It definitely takes a team and effort from everyone to make this happen.
- PICK UP ANY TRASH.
- TAKE ANY LEFT BELONGINGS TO DANCER LOUNGE, LOST AND FOUND AREA.
- TURN RADIO/SPEAKERS OFF.
- LEAVE STUDIO PRESENTABLE.
- RETURN ANY FOLDING CHAIRS, TABLES, OR OTHER ITEMS THAT DO NOT BELONG IN THE STUDIO ROOM.
- TURN OFF FAN.
- TURN OFF LIGHT.
- LOCK FRONT DOORS, LATCHES IN MIDDLE OF DOOR AND TURNKEY IF YOU ARE THE LAST STAFF MEMBER AT THE STUDIO BUILDING.
- TURN OFF ALL LIGHTS IN STAIRWELLS, RESTROOMS, UPSTAIRS STUDIO ROOM, ETC.. IF YOU ARE THE LAST STAFF MEMBER AT THE STUDIO BUILDING.
- LEAVE FRONT OFFICE LIGHT ON AT ALL TIMES.

STAFF USING DANCE CHAIRS/TABLES/BENCHES
Please do NOT leave any folding chairs, tables, and/or benches within a studio room. If you are using these items for a meeting, party, event, etc… you are responsible to put them away. If you find any of these items left in a studio room, please notify firstname.lastname@example.org.
STAFF USING DANCE PROPS/EQUIPMENT
Please do NOT leave dance props within a studio room without prior consent or notification from Kim. You will need to let her know what will be stored within the studio and where it will be put away during times they are not being used. Please make sure that these items are put away properly and not scattered within the studio room, or left for another staff member to put away.
STAFF SCHEDULING STUDIO SPACE OUTSIDE OF TRADITIONAL DANCE SCHEDULE
If you need to schedule extra practices, meetings, special events, workshops, etc.. please make sure to communicate and schedule this through our Head Secretary, Heather Terry. You may email her at email@example.com -OR- call the office at 801.546.1831 on Thursday 4:00-7:00 pm, when she is scheduled at the studio office. You may also text her on her personal cell phone at 801.718.8588. PLEASE DO NOT PARENTS OR DANCERS ANY STAFF MEMBERS PERSONAL CELL PHONE NUMBERS WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM THAT STAFF MEMBER. THANK YOU!
STAFF USING STUDIO SPACE FOR MEETINGS, PARTIES, EVENTS, ETC…
In the case you have scheduled a meeting, party, event, etc, YOU are responsible to make sure that area or studio is left clean and with all chairs, tables, decorations, props, put away. You will need to be sure that the mirrors are cleaned upon leaving. You will also be responsible to make sure the garbage cans are emptied and taken to the back dumpster. Do NOT wait for our cleaning crew to do this for you. Please be sure to schedule ALL studio space through our Head Secretary, Heather Terry.
Do NOT tape any dance floor with masking tape, duct tape, or any other type of adhesive/tape. You may ONLY USE SPORTS TAPE. This is available at the studio office. Please make sure to return this tape to the office. If we are out, please let an office team member know, so they can add it to our supply order list. Thank you for following this rule. The other types of adhesives and tape ruin the floors and are difficult to remove. If you use other types of adhesives, you will be responsible to remove them from the floor and take care of any costs for any damage that it may cause.
If you are needing basic supplies or if you notice we are low or out of any supplies, (such as pens, notepads, bandaids, hair elastics, toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, etc…) please let one of our office staff know. They will add it to our supply list within ASANA Task Manager.
