Shalice has been a valued member of Luv 2 Dance Studio since 2010, currently serving as an Instructor and the Artistic Director for our Competition Program, where she works closely with our Company Dancers.
With 18 years of training across all dance genres, Shalice has an impressive background that includes being a member of the Hillcrest Drill Team and a BYU Cougarette for three years. She has dedicated over 30 years to teaching dance and has been the Drill Coach for Farmington High School, the consecutive Utah STATE Drill Champions, since 2018.
Originally from Sandy, Utah, with time spent in Little Rock, Arkansas, Shalice enjoys quality moments with her children and family, as well as traveling and hiking. Her organized, focused, and passionate nature makes her a loyal, patient, trustworthy team player who loves teaching and inspiring dancers.
As a mother of five, she considers motherhood both the hardest and the best experience of her life, and she recently became a grandma.
Shalice has a special fondness for the 4th of July, summer, and warm weather, along with a love for the color blue, raspberry zest water from Fiiz, peaches, watermelon sour patch candy, and sushi. Her taste in music includes Taylor Swift, U2, and any upbeat tunes, and she cherishes time spent outdoors in nature.
Shalice has inspired countless dancers at our studio, and we are fortunate to have her on our team.
Her encouraging message to young dancers is to remember that the things that seem so significant now may not matter as much as they think, and to believe in themselves, be true to who they are, and cherish every moment.
