It’s just not Christmas time with out the smell of a freshly made batch of these amazing ginger snap cookies!
Ginger Snap Cookies
2 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter, soft
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup molasses*
Instructions: Combine butter, brown sugar and egg until light and fluffy. Add molasses and blend thoroughly. Sift together and add dry ingredients. Roll dough into balls and then roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 for 8 min. (*Note: I prefer 1/4 cup molasses and 1/4 cup corn syrup…but you can do it either way.)
